I was sitting around with my fabulous friend Shaeffer discussing the importance of reducing waste in garment production, when she suggested that I should have socks cut and sewn at the same time as the panties as a way to use ALL the mesh and avoid waste - BOOM hello Schaefer Socks!

The Schaefer Socks looks to the shape of the traditional Japanese tabi sock, which is sewn with a split toe in order to be worn with thonged footwear and has a rich and long history in Japan and beyond.
